Keely Machinery was established in 1981 by Keith and Lynne Mason and Michael Vann in a small unit in Bedford. Within six months they had employed their first technical service engineer and after eighteen months moved to their present location on the Woburn Road Industrial Estate.

Keely Machinery continued to grow and expand progressively throughout its workforce employing experienced Salesmen and Technical Service Engineers
Together they have over 150 years experience within the Polythene Industry.
As an ongoing improvement to the service provided Keely Machinery applied for BS5750 in 1994 which subsequently became ISO 9002 and were accredited in the summer of that year.
In February 1997 Keely Machinery doubled its floor space by acquiring the adjoining property. This gave the company much needed living room with modern spacious offices and well equipped factory for R&D work and machine refurbishment as well as a comprehensive parts stores.
